One of the best riders in freestyle motocross is only 23 years old and already holds 10 world records: Luc Ackermann from Niederdorla in Thuringia jumped in October 2010 at the NIGHT of the JUMPS in Cologne the „youngest motorcycle backflip of all time“. Exactly two years later, on October 06, 2012, he jumped at the same spot over 9.00 meters in MAXXIS Highest Air, the step-up competition of the NIGHT of the JUMPS / FIM Freestyle MX World Championship series. He is the youngest freestyler who has ever mastered such a height. In March 2013 he was one of 18 FMX riders who jumped a backflip at the Nitro Circus movie premiere in London, at the same time and thus moved in the Guinness Book of Records. In 2017 he was, at the age of 19 years, the youngest rider ever to do a double backflip to dirt. 2019 Luc became the youngest FIM Freestyle MX World Champion, did the world’s first dirt to dirt Double Backflip at the Red Bull Dirt Diggers contest in Germany and the world’s first triple double backflip train for the Nitro World Games together with Jackson Strong and Josh Sheehan. And finally in 2020 he broke Travis Pastranas world record of the most backflips in 30 seconds. Luc did 10 flips in 28,95 seconds. 2021 he won X Games gold in the Freestyle comp in Ramona/California and pulled 3 world’s first in his video project “Luc Ackermann: FMX Unloaded”: The Bonk Backflip, a 360 Sand Curtain and a massive 25 meters Tsunami Backflip over Rhine river.
